At the Luxury RETREAT, we offer a wide range of opportunities for hosting "Events!" From: Bachelor/Bachelorette parties and stays, Family Reunions, Special Birthday Celebrations, Kids' Camping birthday parties, BabyMoons, HoneyMoons, Anniversaries, Girl's GetAways, Business Retreats and meetings, Holiday Extravaganzas, and more! We can often host more than the 11 guests that are specified for stays, with plenty of room for up to 40 or so additional guests for pool parties, or use of grounds, "The Studio's" Gourmet kitchen of the Main House, The "Gallery of the Artist' Studio," nearby parks with river access, to the spacious decks and porches for "spreading out" with catering, lots of seating, outdoor large fireplace, private fire pit with the Luxury Guesthouse, and the added luxury of our large Hot Tub! It's truly the perfect property for making your event memorable and special!
The very large pool area with surrounding deck, spacious porches, and incredible views overlooking the grounds and hill country, makes the perfect place to host a pool party or outdoor gathering in winter or summer! Rent "The Modern Farmhouse Suite" to have an extra large private bathroom w/ double sinks, plenty of counter space, full wall to wall length mirrors, shower/tub, right next to your event! We can provide buffet tables, cloths, extra chairs, and there's plenty of benches, loungers, and other outdoor chairs, porch swings, and even a vintage glider porch and poolside!
Just ask about our large gourmet kitchen just off the porch for housing extra food, drinks, or for use by caterers, or your host!
We are in an IDEAL location for easy access to the River, Lake Austin, with piers and outdoor BBQ facilities, private parks, community parks, and for smaller groups a private easement to the Colorado River!
The property is over an acre of sprawling grounds with native plants such as salvia, sage, butterfly bushes, yucca, fruit trees, mimosas, crape myrtles, lantana, native grasses, Wisteria, Lady Banks roses, Carolina and Sambac Jasmine, blooming Redbuds, waterfalls, spring fed creeks, vintage farm equipment, large overhanging Spanish oaks, Dwarf Live Oaks, and of course the native limestone boulders placed by nature and strategically for nature gazing around the grounds.
Guests may order some great items from our "List of OPTIONAL Add Ons" for your stay or for your event! Check out our items and order ahead to make your stay extra special and easy! The Homemade Cherry Pie is especially memorable, with its flaky crust, full of extra tart cherries, not too much sugar, and almond flavoring! Guests RAVE about it, saying it is "the best cherry pie they've ever had!" That's because it's the owner's mom's recipe, and MAN that woman could cook!
Don't hesitate to also ask your host about nearby catering and best carry outs, as there are so many in the area!
The large open concept main room of the luxury cabin is a great spot for hosting a get together with extra guests for such events as wedding or baby showers, birthday parties, bachelorette parties, etc, as it overlooks the grounds and has treetop views for MILES of the hill country and canyons of the Colorado River! It's 16ft pitched ceiling with Douglas Fir trusses, antiques and modern furniture combined for comfort and charm give it a decidedly upscale feel, and guests may spill out onto the large private deck or enjoy the firepit later in the evening as the party winds down!
There is a fully equipped kitchen and large sized fridge w/ ice maker, blender, large microwave, and all full sized appliances, cookware, dishes, wine glasses, large stainless sink, and pass through granite bar for added convenience.
