"My husband and I had a delightful stay for our anniversary (and his 40th). The cabin was immaculate and the property was so beautiful. The bed was comfortable and cabi was nicely decorated. The view from the cabin was very nice and I would highly recommend getting the spa package if you'd like something romantic at night. Nina was beyond accommodating and responded to all of my texts and messages promptly. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice getaway in a beautiful area. Thanks Nina!!"

"While it's still a short drive away from good restaurants and activities, it feels secluded and surrounded by nature. We got to see deer grazing in the front yard and enjoy beautiful scenery on the porch. The rental itself was bright, airy, and spotlessly clean. Nina was welcoming and had everything in the rental well stocked with anything we might need for our stay. We had a peaceful, relaxing visit, and would definitely recommend this rental."

"We had a great stay here! I only wish watching super bowl had been as much fun as in the lovely accommodations we rented in this hill country austin adobe! This place was perfect for the four of us. One couple stayed in the guest house cabin, and the other stayed in the bedroom suite by the private pool and beautiful patio setting where we entertained ourselves drinking wine at night and meeting for coffee in the AM. We each had our own full baths and privacy. The four of us (i think more people could have stayed if desired) congregated mostly in the main cabin enjoying our own company; there’s plenty of space. The view of the lush countryside is superb."

"The scenery was breathtaking around the area. Our youngest enjoyed fishing from the pier on the river and playing games in the cabin. I was allowed full use of the gourmet kitchen to prepare our thanksgiving dinner. Even though our trip was cut short due to weather, it was a wonderful getaway and palace to stay."

"What a treat! My husband and I booked a weekend stay at the Guesthouse CAbin Retreat for our anniversary looking for a bit of quiet, comfort, and access to some of Austin’s many activities. We hit the jackpot and got all of this and more during our stay at this beautiful home… Our lovely host, Nina, truly anticipated our every need and communicated with us prior to our stay to make certain every detail was taken care of before our arrival. From the beautifully furnished and accessorized home, to the incredibly, thoughtful and generous goody basket, (not to mention fresh hot brownies upon our arrival) Nina went over and above to make our stay memorable and fun! The fresh flower bouquets throughout the house were not only lovely, but offered up a delicate fragrance that brought me back to my childhood with memories of my grandmother’s fresh peonies. We ordered a picnic lunch ahead of time and received more yummy food than any couple could eat. We were also provided some very well thought out information regarding the Austin area, ideas for fun outings and a great map and review sheet on the Austin wine country. We took our host’s recommendations and visited two of the wineries she selected which were just a short drive from the guesthouse. What a great afternoon, and what perfect suggestions - good Texas wine… The pool and spa were perfect and offered a nice retreat during the evenings as well! Our thanks to Nina for opening the guest house so that we were able to have such a lovely, peaceful and refreshing weekend. We’ll be back!"

"The cabin retreat was exactly what I needed to relax and wind down from work overload!!! It is very private with awesome surroundings. Ideal for people looking to get away from noisy city life to serene outlook. Experience nature from up close. Deers roamed around and provided beautiful views from the cabin. That in itself was great entertainment for my kids. The cabin was well equipped with all necessities and very spacious. Everything was very clean and well presented. The fresh flower arrangements gave a really special touch. The host, Nina, was very considerate and accommodating to our needs for this vacation from the very first time I talked with her. The entire outlook of the property reflects her artistic nature. The cabin really stood out from the surrounding properties. We were presented with welcome baskets with lots of snacks and goodies.m The continental breakfast provided was full of variety. All of our requests were attended to very promptly and with genuine care. It was great to have written information available in the cabin about surrounding areas and entertainment for all family members. The best thing I experienced was that Nina was very eager to make our stay special to us. She was beyond thoughtful about cultural issues and wanted to know how she can accommodate our food preferences for our family’s needs. Having my privacy was extremely important to me. The location of the cabin turned out to be ideal. It’s surrounded by tall trees. I had a blast having my privacy. The pool was great. The spa was quite relaxing. I loved the location of the pool. The cabin retreat is definitely on my list to return often even for a quick one day getaway. What a great cabin and an awesome host! Thank you Nina for making my vacation very relaxing and memorable."

"We found this little secret last year and now making it our go to destination when in Austin. Crispr clean sheets and privacy is my 2 must haves. The contrast is what we love. Resting at night and waking up to this peaceful loft like space is the perfect balance. Downtown Congress St. Shopping and music is a little over 15 minutes away. The owner is so sweet and attentive and is also a local famous artist. Ask to see some of her work. Amazing!! French pastries with farmers butter and french press coffee every morning was delightful. We normally come for the downtown festivities but now want to plan a longer stay just to enjoy the lake. She offers Catered boat trips with a captain and some kind of surfing behind a boat is available. Our two teenage boys will love this."

"My wife and I rented this place for a few nights for a “baby-moon,” and we couldn’t be happier with our stay. Nina was a great host and took good care of us. The property was clean and well-kept. Much thanks for the nice goodie basket that was waiting for us when we got to the property. She also indulged us by letting us use her hot tub, which was super relaxing! The property itself is situated in a very quiet area. The only noises you hear come from the surrounding birds. It rained for a couple of days while we were there; there is a covered porch on the grounds with a swing so we were able to watch the rain come down, very cool. For food, we went to the nearby County Line on the Hill restaurant for some tasty BBQ! We also took a sightseeing trip around the surrounding neighborhoods to look at some of the really nice houses overlooking the lake and the cliffs. Overall we had tons of fun and would recommend this place to any couple looking for a quiet getaway for a few days."

"We live in California and our oldest daughter is a gresham at Baylor. We spent Spring Break in Texas and were looking for a vacation rental to send family time together for the extended Easter weekend. Nina’s property is sooo much more than a “vacation rental.” Nina went above and beyond to make us feel at home. There is only one bedroom, but Nina worked with us in advance to make sure our family of 5 (3 adults and 2 teens) would be comfortable. Her welcome basket of goodies was just what we needed for breakfast and happy hour. She is very detailed and put a great deal of thought into making our stay what we needed. The kitchen is very small but has what is needed for making a home cooked meal. Although there aren’t any spices, except for salt and pepper, Nina let us borrow from her own kitchen the few spices we needed to prepare our meals. There is also a BBQ in the pool area that we used as well. The property is very well cared for and maintained. You really are surrounded by trees and can see a small sliver of the lake. It is a very short, easy walk to the dock. We took a picnic lunch down one day and happy hour munchies another day. The drive into Austin was a quick 15-20 minutes. Nina has a great guest folder with restaurant suggestions as well. If you need to get away, this is the place to go. Nina is very easy to work with and will make your stay special! We hope to come back the next time we visit Texas."

"My husband and I stayed at the Guesthouse Cabin Retreat this past weekend and had the BEST time!!! Everything about our stay was absolutely perfect! Nina is extremely helpful and hospitable! We really enjoyed the private easement on the lake. The house is very private and feels like you are out in the country (we saw tons of deer!) Also it is a very short drive to some amazing restaurants! I just can’t say enough wonderful things about this place!! NIna is also an amazing artist. We loved getting to see her studio!"

"Our stay at the lake cabin was totally wonderful. We got in during one of the recent big storms in austin. We settled into our cozy recreate and watched movies on netflix. The welcome baskets nian left were so nice and most welcome. The art work in the cabin is amazing and adds to the property. Because of the weather we didn't use the pool or go down to the lake which is a short walk (there is not a lake view but you do feel like you're in a treehouse). The cabin is truly lovely and we enjoyed our almost week there. We will be back and recommend it highly."

"My wife and I spent a few days at the cabin retatere while the kids were at summer camps. We had a wonderful time even with the little rain. Took some time in the pool and spa and sat in front of the fire. Enjoyed walking around the property and looking at all the deer and other wildlife. Nina was a very helpful and very gracious host. The cabin is close enough to everything Austin and the hill country has to offer, but secluded enough that you don't realize you are only 10 minutes from everything. We will definitely be returning."

"The cabin and the surrounding property are beautiful, a great hill country getaway! The listing description was accurate all the way, the cabin was clean and stocked with welcome baskets full of tasty treats. We had our two small dogs with us and the set up was perfect with the fenced yard and the lake just a short walk down the road. The spa and pool was well maintained and most enjoyable. The property owner, Nina, provided hospitality and was very attentive. Downtown austin is a short 15 minute drive, lots of great restaurants. There are also many mountain biking and hiking trails around austin. Two parks are relatively close by, pace bend and mule show mule show, and have a good network of trails."

"Perfect relaxing getaway for our family! The home is very clean and has everything you need for an extended stay. Also loved the welcome baskets full of goodies! Nina is a great host, always available and has great recommendations for local fare and activities. The home is centrally located so everything austin has to offer is within a reasonable driving distance. It's a beautiful secluded wooded lot and very quiet. The kids loved watching the deer on the porch swings. They also really enjoyed the private pool and spa and roasting s'mores by the fire. We will definitely be back!!!"

"My girlfriend and I stayed at Nina's guesthouse for a week and had a great time. The guest house is located just adjacent to the main house, but still feels very private. The house is tucked into the woods in a quiet area in the hills about 10-15 minute drive from Austin so you can be as busy or as tranquil a stay as you like. We took daily advantage of the pool, spa, and river. We only went into town a few times, and never had a problem getting an uber to and from the property. The rental itself was very well appointed- full kitchen, comfortable bed, huge living area, and there's a washing machine to use just below in the garage. There was a nice fence in the area to let our small dog run around. Nina and her daughter welcomed us with quite a lot of fruits, snakes and wine- they were great and extremely helpful throughout the stay without being intrusive at all. Just a text or call away. I'd highly recommend this property to anyone looking to enjoy a quiet retreat while still having access to the amenities a city like Austin provides, we will definitely be back."

"My mom and I wanted something that was away from home but not too far. We were so happy when we found this place. We were also lucky that nina was okay with the sudden addition of my aunt who wanted a quick getaway from her four boys before school started. We were also thankful to be able to bring our dogs with us. The Pool was nice and cool and relaxing when we didn't want to go too far and the lack of access was great! Nina and Eliza were great hostesses! I could see us coming back again!"

"We had a wonderful stay! The Property was very clean and well maintained, Nina, the property owner, was very helpful with information on nearby restaurants and attractions. She supplied some fantastic extra bedding for our group. The oversized cots were amazing and the air mattress was very comfortable and was just what we needed for our group of 7 people. The pool was a great place to sit and relax and had a wonderful view. We also booked a boating trip on the river and had the captain meet us with his boat at the dock. Both Uber and Lyft were readily available in the area for the nights we decided to go downtown Austin to the restaurants on Lake travis. I definitely recommend dating at this property, I hope to stay here again in the near future. Thanks nina!"

"We spent the weekend at this wonderful place in austin. Since it is located by the river and surrounded by hills, you truly feel as if far away from the city. The tranquillity that surrounds it is amazing. The unit was extremely clean, competing with all the basic amenities and some more extra ones. The kitchen was fairly equipped and prepared to serve more people than the place can hold. We had hoped to do some hiking around the area but had to postpone because of bad weather. We will definitely come back soon enough. Nina the owner was wonderful and always looking out for us."

"Great location and comfortable, beautiful guest house. We enjoyed the privacy of the spa and lovely views yet the easy access to the best restaurants and shopping in this area has to offer. Owner provided a fabulous breakfast basket and picnic basket for lunch on the view at the colorado river. Our girls weekend was perfect with the well appointed kitchen for meals in and the in room classic movies for quiet relaxation with a bottle of wine. We will definitely make plans for antler girls getaway at this property! Thank you for a great time!!"

"This retreat is wonderful for anyone who cherishes both the texas hill country and austin. It is a perfect location nestled in the hills outside austin yet only 25 minutes or so into downtown austin. Located on a beautiful windy, hilly road it has a real rustic feel. The steep driveway leading up to the property only enhances this natural, idyllic setting. The building itself sits very high. You feel like you are in the trees as that is mostly what you see anywhere you look-beautiful views of hills and trees. The space is pristine, airy, very light with high ceilings and windows all around. It is artfully decorated as the owner is a colorful painter by trade. The two main rooms lend themselves well to different sleeping arrangements if you have a larger group, as we did. The kitchen is well stocked if you want to cook a reasonably complicated meal. The bed sheets and overall fabrics are gorgeous. The owner who lives in the adjoining property could not have been more available and resourceful. Some of us managed to fit in a downtown live music venue of the infamous Denny Friedman and make it back for a quiet, peaceful drink and chat on the back deck. The next day i managed to take the short trail down to lake austin which was breathtaking/ the weather was fabulous. The only drawback to this delightful setting was you do not want to travel into austin at peak rush hour, but that's true of almost any place not in the city these days."
